Kenneka Jenkins is the Chicago woman who was found dead in the freezer of the Crowne Plaza Hotel. She was only 19-years-old. On Friday, September 8, 2017, Jenkins attended a party at the hotel. Her family reported her missing on Saturday morning and on Sunday she was found dead in the freezer.

Police claim that Kenneka was drunk when she went into the freezer. If the hotel was being managed properly, Jenkins wouldn’t have had access to the hotel’s freezer. Kenneka sent her sister a text message around 1:30 AM on Saturday morning. Sadly, that was the last message she’ll ever send.

Jenkins family will most likely sue the hotel. There was underage drinking on their premises and a hotel guest had access to an area that should have been secured. Where were Jenkins’ friends when she was walking into the freezer? When you’re drinking with your friends, it’s important to look out for each other.
